Did you know that September is the month of Healthy Aging Awareness? This month focuses on individuals who are motivated to take control of their physical health. Healthy aging means taking the proper steps to maintain and improve your physical and mental health, independence, and quality of life throughout your life course.

We all want to live as long as possible feeling our best self. But in order for that to happen, we must take initiative to ensure our health status is at its best. What that means is preparing and eating healthy meals each day, getting at least eights of sleep every night, attending wellness check-ups with your Primary Physician, exercising for at least 30 minutes a day, and purposely participating in activities that maintain positive mental health can contribute to healthy aging.
